WizKids has revealed two new releases for Star Trek: Captain’s Chair, its deck-building game: Duty and Honor and Resistance is Futile. Both are scheduled to hit retail in August 2027, broadening the game’s scope with new captains, ships and familiar conflicts from the franchise.

In Duty and Honor, Worf, Gul Dukat and two more captains join the game as playable characters, taking the Captain’s Chair in new matches. The release also adds ships to the game, including the Val Jean and the U.S.S. Defiant, while keeping the experience’s core focus intact: choose a command, build up resources over the course of the match and lead your faction to victory.

The suggested retail price for Duty and Honor will be US$ 39,99.

Resistance is Futile, meanwhile, will use a different format: it is a standalone game built around a clash between the Voyager crew and the Borg. The box includes playable characters such as Captain Janeway, Seven of Nine, Locutus and the Borg Queen, along with elements tied to the U.S.S. Voyager and the Borg Cube.

WizKids also detailed the play profile for the experience: Resistance is Futile will be for one to two players, recommended for ages 14 and up, with estimated play times of 60 to 120 minutes. The suggested retail price will be US$ 59,99.

For those following Star Trek: Captain’s Chair, the two releases point to different paths within the same line. Duty and Honor expands the game with new commands and ships, while Resistance is Futile works as a standalone entry point centered on the Voyager-versus-Borg confrontation.

The release window announced so far is August 2027, with no specific launch day provided by WizKids.
