Fervor is a great addition to aggressive red decks in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides all your creatures with haste, allowing them to immediately impact the board when they enter the battlefield. While Fervor is a solid choice for decks looking to quickly apply pressure, a potentially better alternative could be Hammer of Purphoros, which not only grants haste but also provides the option to create 3/3 Golem tokens. If an attacking creature loses haste, perhaps because Fervor leaves the battlefield after attackers have been declared, it won’t be removed from combat.
