Sunfire Balm, Instant, designed by Monte Michael Moore first released in May, 2020 in the set Onslaught. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of A$ 0.54.
Sunfire Balm would be beneficial in a defensive white control deck looking to stall the game and prevent damage. While it offers some utility with its cycling ability, there are potentially better options like Healing Salve or Healing Grace that provide immediate life gain in addition to damage prevention. Sunfire Balm could see play in certain metas where preventing damage is crucial, but its effectiveness may vary depending on the overall strategy of the deck.

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.

The cycling ability and the triggered ability are separate. If the triggered ability doesn’t resolve (due to being countered with Stifle, for example, or if all its targets have become illegal), the cycling ability will still resolve and you’ll draw a card.
