Cateran Persuader, Creature — human mercenary, designed by Carl Critchlow first released in Oct, 1999 in the set Mercadian Masques. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.70.
This Cateran Persuader card would be beneficial in a Mercenary tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it allows for quick and efficient searching and deployment of low-cost Mercenary cards. However, in more competitive play, other cards like Aether Vial might be more efficient for similar effects, making Cateran Persuader less likely to see play in top-tier decks.

Because the “search” requires you to find a card with certain characteristics, you don’t have to find the card if you don’t want to.
