This card, Confirm Suspicions, would be beneficial in a control deck that aims to stall the game and generate card advantage. While it offers a powerful spell counter ability and the potential to draw multiple cards through Investigate, it may be considered slow and mana-intensive for competitive play. More efficient counterspells like Cryptic Command or Mana Drain could be better options in most cases, but Confirm Suspicions could find a home in a slower, more grindy control strategy.

If you sacrifice a Clue for another card’s cost or effect, such as that of Angelic Purge or Tamiyo’s Journal, you can’t also pay and sacrifice it to draw a card.
