Earthen Goo, Creature — ooze, designed by Nick Percival first released in Jul, 2006 in the set Coldsnap. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.70.
Earthen Goo could be beneficial in a red-green trample-focused deck that aims to build up a powerful creature over time. However, due to its restrictive cumulative upkeep cost and vulnerability to removal, alternative cards like Pulmonic Sliver or Vhati il-Dal would likely be more competitive in most scenarios, as they offer more versatility and resilience. Overall, Earth Goo may struggle to see play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.

Paying cumulative upkeep is always optional. If it’s not paid, the permanent with cumulative upkeep is sacrificed. Partial payments of the total cumulative upkeep cost can’t be made. For example, if a permanent with “cumulative upkeep ” has three age counters on it when its cumulative upkeep ability triggers, it gets another age counter and then its controller chooses to either pay or sacrifice the permanent.
