Osprey Games will release Oathmark: Second Edition in stores on September 15. The new edition of the mass-battle wargame featuring fantasy armies brings expanded rules, new unit types and other revisions based on years of player feedback.

The aim is to offer greater freedom when creating and commanding forces. Players can lead armies made up of dwarves, elves, humans and goblins, combining fantasy races to take their troops onto the battlefield.

The second edition also includes an integrated campaign system. Between battles, commanders can develop their kingdoms, conquer territories, recruit new types of troops and expand their domains while competing for space with rival powers.

Defeats have consequences throughout this progression. Conquered territories can be lost, armies can suffer casualties and growing kingdoms can collapse under the pressure of conflict. The campaign follows both the expansion and the wear of empires over the course of the war.

Oathmark: Second Edition will be released in hardcover, with 224 pages and a suggested retail price of US$ 35. The digital edition will cost US$ 24,50. The release is scheduled for September 15, but the announcement text does not specify a year for the date.

The revision retains its focus on battles involving large fantasy formations while expanding the options available to players who want to build forces from different peoples. The result arrives in stores as an expanded edition, shaped by the community’s accumulated experience over the years.
