About Goblin Sappers

Goblin Sappers, Creature — goblin, designed by Jeff A. Menges first released in Jun, 1995 in the set Ice Age. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 56.14.

Goblin Sappers would be particularly effective in an aggressive red deck that focuses on dealing damage quickly, such as a Goblin tribal or burn deck, where enabling key creatures to get through for damage can be crucial. However, there are arguably better options, such as cards like Fling or Skewer the Critics, which can provide direct damage without sacrificing your creatures, or Goblin Instigator, which generates additional board presence. While Goblin Sappers can be fun and provide a unique tactical advantage, its self-destructive nature may limit its playability in competitive formats, making it less favorable compared to more efficient damage-dealing options.

Rules

04/15/13

If you activate the ability during the end of combat step, the creature will be destroyed at the beginning of the next end of combat step, even if that step occurs during a different turn.
