Eater of Days is best suited for a control or combo deck that can capitalize on its powerful abilities while mitigating the drawback of skipping two turns. Decks that can generate significant value during the opponent's turn or have ways to protect themselves during the downtime, such as using counterspells or board wipes, would benefit from this card. However, there are arguably better options like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, which offers a similar effect of skipping turns but comes with additional benefits like being harder to remove and providing a stronger overall impact. While Eater of Days can be a fun and powerful card in specific builds, it may not see widespread play due to its significant drawback and the existence of more efficient alternatives.
