A control deck that aims to have access to multiple colors of mana would benefit from using Gem of Becoming, as it helps ensure consistent mana fixing and access to all necessary colors. While Gem of Becoming is a decent card for mana fixing, there are better options available such as Farseek or Cultivate, which can ramp and fix mana more efficiently. Gem of Becoming may see play in budget decks or casual settings where access to better mana fixing cards is limited.

You don’t have to find all three cards, even if they’re present in your library. For example, you can activate the ability just to find an Island card and a Swamp card.
