Allplay has announced three new lines to expand its board game catalog: Masterworks, Epics and Creations. The expansion will begin with a new edition of Dominant Species, originally released by GMT Games in 2010.

The Masterworks line will focus on more substantial Euro strategy games and will be curated by Ian O’Toole, known for his work on Voidfall and Galactic Cruise. Its first release will be Dominant Species, designed by Chad Jensen, the designer of Combat Commander.

Set at the dawn of the Ice Age, Dominant Species puts players in control of the evolution of a large group of animals as environmental conditions change. Allplay’s edition will feature new art and graphic design, along with a solo mode and an enhanced two-player version. It is scheduled for release in 2027.

The Epics line will bring together legacy-style games and expansive, evolving worlds supported by extensive campaigns. Its first title will be Sail Legacy, a two-player game built around trick-taking mechanics, with more than 35 adventures and a branching storyline. After that, Allplay will release Crash Landed, a science-fiction adventure game scheduled for 2027.

Rounding out the announcement, Creations will focus on games designed for experienced fans. The line will begin with Have a Magical Day by John D. Clair, centered on planning the perfect vacation at a theme park.

Allplay has also scheduled two releases for the summer: a travel edition of Trailblazers and Golden Goal, a soccer game. The company did not provide specific release dates for either title in its announcement.
