Steve Jackson will step down as CEO of Steve Jackson Games, the company he founded and still serves as president. The change will allow him to devote more time to game design and development.

Jackson had been serving in the role on an interim basis since Meredith Placko stepped down as CEO in 2025. Sabrina Gonzalez will take over as the company’s new executive leader.

Gonzalez has worked at Steve Jackson Games since 2013. During that time, she served as a production manager and production artist. She has also been a member of the company’s board of directors since 2021, experience she will now bring to her new role as CEO.

The change at the top comes with another promotion. Allison Page will become COO after serving as editor-in-chief of Steve Jackson Games since 2023.

The changes reorganize the company’s management structure as its founder shifts his focus back to an area directly tied to game creation. Jackson will remain president but will hand over his executive responsibilities as CEO to Gonzalez.

Steve Jackson Games is responsible for tabletop games and RPG titles associated with its founder’s name. The announcement did not specify which design or development projects will receive Jackson’s attention as his responsibilities change.
