About Celestial Crusader

Celestial Crusader, Creature — spirit, designed by Jim Murray first released in Oct, 2006 in the set Time Spiral and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.11.

A deck focused on white weenie aggro or tempo strategies would benefit from including Celestial Crusader, as it provides a powerful boost to other white creatures while also having flash and flying for added versatility and evasion. While there may be other cards with similar effects like Honor of the Pure or Benalish Marshal, the unique combination of abilities on Celestial Crusader makes it a strong contender for inclusion in the right deck, especially in a metagame where split second can disrupt opponents' plans effectively.

Rules

03/19/21

After a spell with split second resolves (or otherwise leaves the stack), players may again cast spells and activate abilities before the next object on the stack resolves.

03/19/21

Because damage remains marked on a creature until the damage is removed as the turn ends, nonlethal damage dealt to a white creature may become lethal if Celestial Crusader leaves the battlefield during that turn.

03/19/21

Casting a spell with split second won’t affect spells and abilities that are already on the stack.

03/19/21

Players may turn face-down creatures face up while a spell with split second is on the stack.

06/07/13

Players still get priority while a card with split second is on the stack.

06/07/13

Split second doesn’t prevent triggered abilities from triggering. If one does, its controller puts it on the stack and chooses targets for it, if any. Those abilities will resolve as normal.
