Soldevi Simulacrum, Artifact creature — soldier, designed by Dan Frazier first released in Jun, 1995 in the set Ice Age and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.11.
This Soldevi Simulacrum card could be beneficial in a deck focused on incremental advantages and resource management, as its cumulative upkeep ability can provide a growing threat on the battlefield. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering environments, there are likely better options available for a 4-mana slot in artifact-based decks, such as Steel Overseer or Arcbound Ravager, which offer more immediate and impactful effects. While Soldevi Simulacrum may have niche uses in certain strategies, it may not see widespread play in highly optimized decks.

Paying cumulative upkeep is always optional. If it’s not paid, the permanent with cumulative upkeep is sacrificed. Partial payments of the total cumulative upkeep cost can’t be made. For example, if a permanent with “cumulative upkeep ” has three age counters on it when its cumulative upkeep ability triggers, it gets another age counter and then its controller chooses to either pay or sacrifice the permanent.
