About Traveling Plague

Traveling Plague, Enchantment — aura, designed by Dave Dorman first released in Oct, 2001 in the set Odyssey. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 9.47.

A deck that focuses on controlling the opponent's board and slowly weakening their creatures would benefit from using Traveling Plague as it provides a consistent source of -1/-1 counters to reduce their creatures' power. However, there are better alternatives like Black Sun's Zenith which can also act as a board wipe and is more versatile in handling threats. While Traveling Plague has potential in the right deck, it may not see play in competitive settings due to its higher mana cost and limited impact compared to other options.

Rules

08/01/05

When the enchanted creature leaves the battlefield, this card is placed into the graveyard as is normal for an Aura when it loses what it enchants. The triggered ability returns this card to the battlefield with no counters on it.

10/04/04

A counter is placed on every player’s upkeep, not just the controller’s upkeep.
