Esta carta sería una gran adición a un mazo tribal Elemental agresivo en Magic: the Gathering, ya que proporciona una forma de recuperar criaturas Elementales del cementerio y atacar con ellas inmediatamente. Mientras que Thunderkin Awakener es una opción sólida para dicho mazo, algunos podrían argumentar que cartas como Flamekin Harbinger o Risen Reef podrían ser mejores opciones dependiendo de la estrategia y sinergia del mazo. En general, Thunderkin Awakener definitivamente podría verse en juego en el mazo adecuado, especialmente uno centrado en estrategias Elementales agresivas.
