Un mazzo che si concentra sull'aumentare rapidamente il mana e guadagnare vita come modo per stabilizzarsi contro strategie aggressive beneficerebbe dall'uso di Luce Catturata. Mentre fornisce un valore decente con la capacità di Cascata e il guadagno di vita, ci sono potenzialmente carte migliori per effetti simili nel pool attuale di carte di Magic: the Gathering. Tuttavia, se la strategia del mazzo si basa pesantemente sul guadagno di vita e sulla generazione di mana, Luce Catturata potrebbe comunque trovare un posto in certe costruzioni di mazzi.
