Dark Favor, Enchantment — aura, designed by Allen Williams first released in Jul, 2011 in the set Magic 2012 and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.30.
Dark Favor would be best suited for an aggressive black deck looking to apply pressure early in the game, as the +3/+1 boost can help quickly close out a match. However, there are better options available such as Dead Weight or Murderous Rider, which provide more versatile removal or utility. While Dark Favor can be situationally useful, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play in most scenarios.

If the creature targeted by Dark Favor is an illegal target when Dark Favor tries to resolve, Dark Favor won’t resolve. It won’t enter the battlefield and its enters-the-battlefield ability won’t trigger.
