A deck focused on tempo and control strategies would benefit from using Distorting Wake, as it allows for a mass bounce effect to disrupt the opponent's board state and buy time to establish dominance. While Distorting Wake can be useful in certain situations, cards like Cyclonic Rift are often considered better due to their flexibility and ability to deal with a wider range of threats. However, in a deck specifically looking to bounce multiple permanents at once, Distorting Wake could still see play as a situational tool.
