Expunge, Instant, designed by Christopher Moeller first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.33.
Expunge is a versatile removal spell that can fit well in a black control or midrange deck looking to efficiently deal with threats. While it's a solid removal option, there are arguably better alternatives like Fatal Push or Murder that offer more flexibility or power for a similar cost. Expunge could see play in certain metagames where its specific targeting restrictions are valuable, but in most cases, there are stronger options available.

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.
