Volcanic Hammer, Sorcery, designed by Christopher Rush first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 15 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.32.
This card, Volcanic Hammer, would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to quickly deal damage to the opponent or to remove small creatures. While it provides a cheap and efficient way to deal 3 damage, there are better options available such as Lightning Bolt, which also deals 3 damage for just R and can target creatures or players. However, Volcanic Hammer could still see play in budget decks or in formats where Lightning Bolt is not legal, providing a solid option for direct damage in red decks.
